F1 Hungarian Grand Prix 2026- Hungaroring Circuit
The Hungaroring circuit is located at Mogyoród, just 20 km from Budapest. Hungaroring has hosted the F1 Hungarian Grand Prix since 1986. This race track was initially planned as a street track through Budapest's Népliget Park; instead, an entirely new venue was built. It was constructed in just eight months and became the first F1 track behind the Iron Curtain.
In the first Hungarian Grand Prix, Nelson Piquet took home the win. His famous pass on Ayrton Senna is now regarded as one of the greatest overtakes in the history of F1.
The circuit is known for its tight, technical layout and has very few straight sections and flowing corners. Owing to its resemblance to a karting track, good driving skills and chassis performance become the keys to success here.
